Application Procedure

1. Choose a factory location

Select a suitable location for factory construction, ensuring compliance with local land use planning and regulations.

2. Land use rights

Ensure you have the right to use or lease the land. This requires land ownership documents or a lease agreement.

3. Prepare application documents

  • Company registration documents description
  • Land use rights or lease contracts description
  • Architectural blueprints and design drawings description
  • Environmental Impact Assessment Report (if any) description
  • Safety and fire protection plans description
  • Factory Operation Plan description

4. Submit your application

Submit an application to your local government department, which usually includes:

  • Local government (district or city government): responsible for land use and construction permits.
  • Industrial Estates Administration (IEAT): If the factory is located in an industrial area.
  • Thailand Board of Investment (BOI): If the enterprise enjoys BOI’s investment preferential policies.

5. Review and Approval

The government department will review the submitted application documents and may conduct on-site inspections to ensure that the project complies with regulations. The review includes:

  • Land use and planning compliance
  • Building design and safety standards compliance
  • Environmental impact assessment compliance

6. Obtain a construction permit

After the review is passed, the relevant department will issue a construction permit and the enterprise can start factory construction.
